     Wednesday July 5, 6-8 pm


     Meeting at EcoSuperior Environmental Programs, 562 Red River Rd

    Join EarthCare and Safe Cycling Thunder Bay for this 10 km cycling tour exploring Thunder Bay's Low Impact Development sites, including rain gardens and other green infrastructure designed to help improve water quality and manage stormwater. The leisurely pace is appropriate for children age 10+, parents pulling bike trailers, and 55+ individuals. A bike and helmet in good working order are mandatory for this course. Big Boreal Adventure Family Ridebig-boreal-ride

Our popular Big Boreal Adventure tour is returning in 2017! Join Safe Cycling Thunder Bay and Big Boreal Adventure for a 10.5 km family cycling tour of historical sites on Mission Island. We'll visit local operating tugboats, Island Drive Bridge, and Mission Island Marsh. Mission Island is a beautiful place for a quiet family ride! To see the route map, visit The leisurely ride pace is suitable for 55+ riders, children aged 9+ and parents pulling trailers. Free. 

The tour starts and ends at Gravel and Lake Services. On Island Drive, cross the bridge from Thunder Bay's east end to McKellar Island. Make the first left after the bridge onto Carpenter Dr. Carpenter Drive immediately splits. Turn onto the gravel road section and park.

     Meet at École Secondaire Catholique De La Verendrye, 175 High St N.

     The popular Coffee Tour is back! Join Safe Cycling Thunder Bay and CommuniTea and Coffee for a tour of four local coffee shops and roasteries. This is a 15 km point-to-point ride. Transit passes will be provided for return travel. Tentative ride map at
