Creating Safe Cycling Programs Toolkit

Are you interested in starting a Safe Cycling program in your community? Then look no further, this is The Toolkit for you.

‘Creating Cycling Education Programs: The Toolkit’ is a guide for Canadian communities that provides them with step-by-step directions on how to start their own community cycling education program.   This ‘How-to Guide’ is based on the tried-and-true CAN-BIKE curriculum.

The Toolkit was written by Safe Cycling Thunder Bay, in consultation with eight other Canadian cities who run successful CAN-BIKE programs, and with input from Cycling Canada.  It takes the best practices and lesson-learned through years of experience and lays out all this advice in one easy-to-read guide.  The Toolkit features full-colour illustrations, comparative charts, work-flows, and sample documentation.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation funded the development Toolkit and the City of Thunder Bay and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit were major partners in its development.
